Maker's claims vs FCC filing
"Full 50W Radio" / "maximum GMRS power allowed by law" Midland MXT575 product page
48.87 W maximum conducted output on 462 MHz main channels; 46.67 W on 467 MHz main (repeater input) grant
Consistent. 47 CFR 95.1767(a)(1) caps mobile-station transmitter output at 50 W on the main channels, and the grant's figures are conducted output, the same basis as the rule.
Interstitial channels (462 MHz) Midland MXT575 product page
4.08 W conducted on 462.563–462.713 MHz grant
The rule for these channels (95.1767(b)) is 5 W ERP, measured after the antenna. The grant lists conducted power, so actual ERP depends on the antenna and cable. The grant also says antenna gain including cable loss must not exceed 2.1 dBi.

Looks like a copy error on Midland's MXT575 page (seen 2026-10-21). We took only MXT575-specific items from it and cross-checked power against the MXT575 grant.

"Not listed" means this model isn't on the NWS list of radios approved for the NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards logo. It doesn't mean the radio can't receive weather broadcasts. The maker pages we checked don't say whether alerts use SAME county codes. See the weather radio guide.
